Scott Doucett (Twins beatwriter, pictured left) is missing and presumed dead. Details are still sketchy, but it appears that he went missing last week while on assignment for twinsbeatwriters.blogspot.com.
In order to stay ahead of the competition, TBW has had to stay aggressive and innovative. Doucett was sent to Venezuela last week to scout future Twin's prospects. Doucett has made no contact since leaving, but editors for TBW received a ransom note last week from Venezuelan radicals.
His kidnappers demanded 2 million cash for his release. Editors at TBW are still trying to negotiate the release of Doucett, and on a side note may be looking for a new beatwriter.
TBW has learned a valuable lesson and will now only send interns on assignment.
